DOLPHINS ROCK!!!

The Dolphins are an independent select soccer team based in Tukwila, WA.  We are members of the Tukwila-Skyway (TUSK) soccer club, which is part of the Greater Renton Junior Soccer Association (GRJSA).

The Dolphins finished their incredible U15 season 9-0-1; outscoring their opponents 23-6, posting 6 shutouts along the way.  The Dolphins Challenge Cup 4-game winning streak ended in the Quarterfinals with a 1-0 loss to Eastside White; the eventual State Champion.  It truly was a great season and we could not be prouder of our team! 

The Dolphins have earned promotion to WSPL Division 3!  On August 28, WSYSA made the decision to allow Spiros, Snohomish United Black, River City and our team into P3, thus, creating a 10-team division.  These teams will be joining Crossfire Premier, Columbia Timbers, FC Vancouver White, Norpoint, Eastside White and Westsound Red when the spring season starts in February, 2009.  We could not be more excited to be in such good company.

Many thanks to the members of TUSK, GRJSA and the other teams involved for their support to let the player's voices be heard.  And, of course, thank you WSYSA for listening and finding a win-win situation for all of us.

The Dolphins have 2 roster positions open and are looking for quality players that desire to play at the highest level and will help us achieve our goal to win Division 3 and earn promotion to P2 at U17.  We will be taking the next few weeks off from training to allow our players to focus on High School soccer and studies.  If you have interest in joining the team, please contact our manager (see information below).   

Dolphins love to play friendlies! We train at Starfire Sports Complex and play our home games at Foster High School in Tukwila, WA. If you would like to set up a scrimmage with us at either of these locations, give us a call and we do our best to find a date and time that works for both teams.  We are also open to traveling to your favorite pitch.  Just let us know and we will help make the arrangements!

The Dolphin Philosophy

For the U-16 season, The Dolphins92 coaching staff will focus on team tactics and functional skills training to help the girls prepare for the next level.  As educators of this beautiful game, we strive to achieve a balance between European discipline and Latin American technique.  Using this philosophy, we believe our players will become so comfortable with the ball they will demonstrate their own unique fluidity and rhythm on the field.

However, the development of a truly successful soccer player does not occur over night but is a journey that can only be measured in years of dedication, not days.  As parents and coaches, ‘Our Mission’ for the 2008/09 season is to provide these terrific young women the unique opportunity to continue to develop together, both on and off the pitch.  That is, we believe the character and composure developed in soccer carry over into everyday life.  After all, life is soccer, right?
